about
StreetAid is a not for profit organisation which was created with the sole purpose of removing as many people off the streets of Sussex as possible. We came up with a unique idea of taking people off the streets and giving them the opportunity to work for us carrying out jobs for our clients including but not limited to - Kitchens & Bathrooms, Painting & Decorating, Gardening, Cleaning, Rubbish Clearance and General Household Maintenance. We work with each individual to create a training plan to give them the necessary skills to carry out these tasks and work with them to find suitable accommodation and food sources whilst they are training. We support them throughout the entire process of integrating back into society through our volunteers skill sets which include Health & Well being, Counselling and Support & Care. StreetAid is funded through donations, fundraising activities and carrying out jobs for our clients so please support us if your are able to.

Our wonderful team

FOUNDER / MANAGER
Craig Williams
I founded StreetAid with the vision of helping as many homeless people of Sussex as I possibly can. I have been homeless on two separate occasions when I was 15 and in my early 20's but was fortunate enough to find a way out and now have a family and enjoyed a good career within Facilities & Business Management. With the help of our wonderful volunteers we hope to pass on our knowledge and skills to people less fortunate and give them the opportunity to get back on their feet again. We are all extremely passionate about supporting this wonderful organisation.

We have many volunteers who help in many different ways and are from varied backgrounds all with the same vision of helping as many homeless people as we can. Without these amazing people we could not operate as an organisation so a huge thank you goes to all of you.

Training plan
Our training plans are completely bespoke to an individual's needs.
A comprehensive 12 week plan is collated for each team member. We use Raystede Animal Rescue Centre as our training base, where each member volunteers for a 12 week program designed by us. This may include carrying out tasks for the center including lawn mowing, painting, rubbish clearances, carpentry, fencing and working on small projects. This also gives them the social and communication skills required to get into work as well as carrying out Health & Safety and First Aid classroom training.
